A lot of teaching has been going on in the past month!
At AI, Chicago, I am club adviser to some wonderfully talented photography students.
April 20, 2013 was the opening of SPS Spring Open show. We featured work from 15 different photography students representing a wide range of talent and levels. A special thanks to jurors
Jim Kirkhoff and
Casey Smallwood for their thoughtful judging! Please check out the SPS Club's new blog
here. On the
blog you will find the SPS Spring Open and the announcement of the winners! Congrats to all for a successful show.
Doña Ana College
At the beginning of April I taught a workshop and gave a public lecture at
Doña Ana College, New Mexico on
The Creative Personal Narrative.
The workshop was a blast to teach - giving me the opportunity to meet and guide some very creative students. I was impressed by their enthusiasm and their work - and looking forward to connecting with those that attend the Southwest Rendezvous in October.
Thanks to
Paul Schranz, for giving me a personal tour of White Sands, NM where I spent an afternoon shooting. Edits are in progress and will be posted soon.
This has been a successful month!
